31 Weeks

How far along? 31w, 3d
Total weight gain: Our scale is so wacky, I really don't know whether to trust it or not.  I know I gained this week, but honestly, I don't know how much.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Yes, starting to see a few.
Sleep: Back and forth. Some nights are good, others not so much.
Best moment this week: Last weekend Mark and I had TWO dates, and I went to a friend's baby shower!  It was very nice!  Thanks to Mom and Auntie JoJo for taking care of Lilly so we could do all that fun stuff.
  Miss Anything? Wine. And sushi.
Movement: Soooo much movement still! This little baby is SUPER active!
Food cravings: This week, lemons! Or lemon-flavored things. Lemon ice, lemonade, just lots of lemons!  And pineapple juice.  Yum.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really at this point!
Have you started to show yet? Yes
Gender prediction: I'm really solid on team blue.  I told Mark I'd be shocked if this baby is a girl.
Symptoms: Back and tailbone pain which makes sitting down lots of fun.

Labor signs? New question!  Nothing yet.
Belly Button in or out? It's not in.  It's a tiny bit out.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but getting tighter as it warms up.
Happy or Moody most of the time: My anxiety is starting to subside as we get things done.
Looking forward to: Maternity pictures on Sunday (if the weather is nice)!  We have some cute ideas planned!

The pic above was 30 weeks, for the baby shower I went to.  It was very nice and I got to visit with some sisters from college!

We didn't get as much done this weekend as I'd hoped, but we are making progress.  The nursery is ALMOST done.  Closet, dresser and bookshelf are cleaned and organized.  I really just need to have Mark attach the changing pad, and maybe get a dust ruffle for the crib, and then it's really done.  I know everyone says it's not that important in the beginning, but besides sleeping (which for the first few months will happen in our room), we use the nursery for a lot.  Changing, daytime feeds, evening feeds, etc... plus with Lilly, I need a room that's completely baby-proofed so I can nurse in there while Mark is working.  Her room is clean and we just need to hang her decorations.  Our room is a mess, but getting there, cleaning wise.  We have a list made of things to clean and we're going to divide and conquer.  Mark will do some things and I will do some, room by room, and hopefully by the end of next week our house will be deep cleaned!  We thought about doing freezer meals, but with our schedule, it will be better to have those for when I go back to work, so we will wait on those.  I can't believe we're in the single digits, week-wise.  It is insane.  Mark is making me a nightstand because we are going to use a co-sleeper and my current nightstand is too large to have both it and the co-sleeper next to the bed.   Here's the rest of our to-do list:

Hang art in Lilly's room
Clean:
Bedroom
Bathroom
Living/entry
Office
Dining room
Kitchen
Install infant car seat
Pack hospital bags
Pack Lilly's bag
Make and install nightstand
Set up pack and play and co-sleeper

Ahh! We're getting close!

30 Weeks

How far along? 30w, 2d
Total weight gain: -3 from last week. + 7 total.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Yes, starting to see a few.
Sleep: Back and forth. Some nights are good, others not so much.
Best moment this week: Making progress on the nursery! Furniture is assembled, some clothes are washed, Lilly is completely moved into her new room.  All we have to do really is find a place for all her old clothes until we know what this baby is!
  Miss Anything? Wine. And sushi.
Movement: Lots of kicks, punches, and dancing going on in there.  This little baby is SUPER active!
Food cravings: Nothing in particular stands out. Just food really, lol.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really at this point!
Have you started to show yet? Yes
Gender prediction: I'm really solid on team blue.  I told Mark I'd be shocked if this baby is a girl.
Symptoms: Hip pain, backaches, congestion, lots of Braxton-Hicks.  My tailbone is starting to hurt too, which I think is just a flare up of an old injury.

Labor signs? New question!  Nothing yet.
Belly Button in or out? It's not in.  It's a tiny bit out.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but getting tighter as it warms up.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Anxious.  Really starting to get nervous.
Looking forward to: the long holiday weekend!!  Hopefully I can really get a lot done, and then we can start cleaning the house and preparing freezer meals.

30 weeks... it seems crazy to me that we're already in the last 10 weeks.  I'm starting to get nervous.  Mark and I need to start reviewing our Bradley class info to keep it all fresh.  I've thought that this baby will be early the whole time, but now that I put it out there, I'm sure we'll have a late baby on our hands.  My mom is going on a trip in early July, so I'm hoping baby stays put until she gets home.  We also have plans to take Lilly to see the Minion movie when it comes out, so the baby definitely needs to wait until after that opens.  We had an appointment with our midwife today.  Now we are going every two weeks, until the end of June, when we start going weekly.  She said I'm measuring big, but baby is not big, so that's comforting, at least!  All my blood was normal, so besides the normal aches and pains, things are looking really good!

Best moment this week: Eh..nothing really.
Miss Anything? Wine. I'll probably have some in the hospital as soon as I deliver!  Haha.  Just kidding...maybe.
Movement: Lots of kicks, punches, and dancing going on in there.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular stands out.

28 Weeks

How far along? 28w!  Into the home stretch!
Total weight gain: +8 total.  I'll find out the 'official' number on Monday.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? I think so, but I can't really tell still!
Sleep: It's hit or miss.  Some nights are great, and I sleep straight through but other nights I wake up a few times.
Best moment this week: Same as last, nothing really stands out, but in a good way.
Miss Anything? Wine. I crave it all the time, which is so weird because I'm really not a big drinker.
Movement: Lots of movement and I love it.  Today, baby was dancing like crazy when I played music.  Mark even got kicked in the ear and face a few times, really hard.
Food cravings: Fruit, fresh and in desserts!  Strawberries, bananas, raspberries, oranges.  We've had pies and strawberry shortcake.  I feel like I'm definitely going to fail my gestational diabetes test on Monday.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really at this point!
Have you started to show yet? Yes
Gender prediction: Boy again.
Symptoms: Backaches, and some nasal congestion at the end of the day.  Hip pain, so much hip pain.  Feeling a lot of pressure this week, so hopefully that means baby is head down.
Belly Button in or out? In. It's definitely shallow.  I go back and forth thinking it's going to pop out.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but getting tighter as it warms up.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy this week.
Looking forward to: My next appointment with the midwife on Monday.

Every week I say the same thing, it's going by so fast!  I'm ordering a couple books and things about hypnobirthing, so I can't wait to get that stuff.  I've just finished one book of natural birth stories and am into the second book and I love it.  It's really great for me to read all about these positive birth experiences, because I've just been so anxious and afraid that we will end up having the same experience this time as we did with Lilly, and I really want to avoid it all.  We'll see how it goes!
