23 Weeks

How far along? 23w, 2d
Total weight gain: This baby likes to keep things interesting.  Up 5 from last week, still under pre-pregnancy weight by 1 lb though.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Not yet, that I've noticed.
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, but Lilly isn't, so it's been a rough week.
Best moment this week: Seeing the baby kick from the outside!
Miss Anything? Wine. Still all the wine.
Movement: Lots of movement.  Still just feeling kicks and punches, but it's hands down the best part of being pregnant.
Food cravings: Cereal, chips, cupcakes, cake.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really at this point!
Have you started to show yet? Yes
Gender prediction: Not sure!  I think girl. Maybe because we already have a girl though.
Symptoms: Backaches, and some nasal congestion.
Belly Button in or out? In. But getting very shallow!
Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy this week.
Looking forward to: We have a busy week and weekend ahead!  Mark is working on finishing up my office, Lilly's Frozen party on Saturday and then Easter on Sunday.  Lots to do!!

22 Weeks

How far along? 22w

Total weight gain: Weird. I guess eating cupcakes is good for me.  I lost 4 lbs from last week, so I'm back to -6 from pre-pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes? Yes

Stretch marks? Not yet, that I've noticed.

Sleep: Not too bad this week actually.

Best moment this week: Our anatomy scan was Tuesday.  It was so fun to watch the baby.  My mom came and occupied Lilly since Mark was working.  Baby was very uncooperative though, but that was fine because I got to see him/her for longer!

Miss Anything? Wine. Still all the wine.

Movement: Lots of kicks, rolls and flutters.  Mark finally felt the baby from the outside, and I've been getting LOTS of big kicks and punches lately.

Food cravings: Cereal, chips, cupcakes, cake.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really at this point!

Have you started to show yet? Yes

Gender prediction: Hmm... girl?  We asked the baby to kick if it was a boy, and nothing.  Then kick if it was a girl.  Still nothing.  Mark walked away, and then baby kicked!  We tried the same thing with Lilly and she kicked when we said girl.
Symptoms: Backaches, and some nasal congestion.

Belly Button in or out? In. It's already shallow! I think it will pop out this time, but probably not till the end.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy this week.
Looking forward to: Moving Lilly to her big girl bed, and celebrating her 2nd birthday in two weeks.

Have you started to show yet? Yes
Gender prediction: Hmm... girl?  Yes, I think this week it's a girl.

Belly Button in or out? In. It's already shallow! I think it will pop out this time, but probably not till the end.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: This was a really long week.  We had a lot of things happen!
Looking forward to: Our anatomy scan on Tuesday!

So... this was a super long week.  It seemed like I was playing catch up at work all week long, after being out most of last week.  We had our first appointment with the midwife on Monday, and it was amazing; I'm so glad we switched.  I love her so much;  I can already tell this was one of the best decisions we could have made and we will have a totally different experience.  She did have some trouble finding the heartbeat, which is always scary.  I was calm though since we have an at home Doppler, I'd just heard the heartbeat the day before.  It's still scary.  And having to run for a quick ultrasound isn't fun, but it was nice to see the baby!!  We have our anatomy scan on Tuesday, which Mark will miss, so I'm sad about that, but my mom is coming.  And we made a decision on our doula, and we're very happy!  All in all, it was a very eventful week!

Total weight gain: I lost two pounds this week, so back to -8.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Not yet, that I've noticed.

Best moment this week: Hmm...we had a really rough week.  I took Tuesday off for my birthday, so I guess that was the highlight.
Miss Anything? Wine, so much wine.
Movement: Lots of kicks, rolls and flutters; it is my favorite part!
Food cravings: Not a whole lot this week.  Ham sandwiches and chips.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat, olives, potato skins.
Have you started to show yet? Yes
Gender prediction: Hmm... girl?
Symptoms: At the end of the day, my back hurts pretty bad, but that's really it!
Belly Button in or out? In. It's already shallow!  I had to take the belly ring out yesterday.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: This week was pretty blah.  Excited, but also just REALLY tired.  Can't believe we're already halfway!
Looking forward to: 20 week appointment with the midwife tomorrow!  And a water birth class tomorrow night.  I'm also looking forward to our next scan, but we don't have it scheduled yet, since tomorrow is our first appointment with the new office.

Wow.  Halfway!  I know I say this every week, but it is flying by!  Lilly continues to be the most adorable toddler ever, and I'm glad for it, because we had a ROUGH week.  I mentioned I'd had a cold since around Valentine's Day that Lilly and I kept passing back and forth.  Her cold turned into an ear infection and mine turned into walking pneumonia.  Last week, on Friday, I woke up with an extremely sore throat, and thought it was strep.  The tests were negative though, so I just kept up with the hot water, lemon and honey treatment that wasn't working.  Sunday it was much worse, and by Monday, I had a cough and was losing my voice and felt completely exhausted.  Like walking from the bedroom to the kitchen would have me really fatigued.  I had Tuesday off for my 30th birthday, and we had to cancel our fun plans, so I could rest.  By then, my voice was completely gone and my cough was really bad.  It was bad enough that I took half a day off on Wednesday and went to the dr.  She gave me an antibiotic and I took the rest of the week off to rest, and I'm feeling much better now.  About 50% better than I was on Tuesday/Wednesday!  I'm so glad for modern medicine.
